Gold prices continued to decline in the local market during trading today, Saturday, losing a gram of 6 pounds, compared to yesterday’s prices.
Naguib Club, former general secretary of the Gold Merchants Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a 21-carat gram of gold fell today to 780 pounds, compared to 786 pounds yesterday.
The price of an 18-carat gram during today’s trading was about 676 pounds, and the price of a 24-carat gram was about 894 pounds, and the price of a pound of gold was about 6240 pounds.
Globally, gold prices recorded a decline yesterday to 1787.8 dollars an ounce, down 28.01 dollars from the beginning of the session, according to Bloomberg data.
