God of War video game gets its own series on Amazon Prime | Movies and series

The popular video game God of War will be filmed, reports the American trade magazine Variety. A series about the game appears on the streaming service Amazon Prime, in which the player has to fight against Greek and Norse mythical gods and monsters.

It’s not the first video game to be made into a series. This used to happen with games like The Sorcerer (with Henry Cavill, the recent announced stop), Fall in The Last of Us.

God of War is about Kratos, also called the “God of War”. After his wife’s death, he goes into exile in Norway. Here, together with his estranged son Atreus, he decides to scatter his wife’s ashes from the highest mountain, as she had wanted. Along the way, they encounter mythical gods and monsters that they must defeat.
