A few days and they will begin the monthly draws of the receipt lottery. Established in December 2020, it is one of the initiatives to encourage electronic payments, fight evasion and discourage the use of cash, the so-called Italia Cashless Plan
When will there be the receipt lottery?
Mark this date! Thursday 11 March there will be the first drawing of the receipt lottery, which will kick off the first monthly draws, which reward cashless purchases in February. Extractions that will become weekly a June, is in the last months of 2021 and, at the beginning of 2022, there will be the first annual draw, which will award one of the lucky cashless winners. But how does it work?

How does the receipt lottery work?
For every euro spent and paid with electronic mode you get a virtual ticket. Up to a thousand tickets can be received for a single receipt. So if I spend 500 euros I get 500 tickets, (if I spend a thousand I will have a thousand). There is no maximum limit of receipts that can be accumulated. To participate in the draws, you will need to register for the receipt lottery system.
It’s very simple: connect to the website www.lotteriadegliscontrini.gov.it and follow the instructions. To register, simply enter the tax code and choose a safe word. Once the code has been generated it will be printed or stored on your mobile phone.
