The Freiburg traffic police, together with the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district office, carried out two check-ups on Sunday, June 28, 2020, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Glottertal exit and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Thurner on the B500 / L128 confluence from Furtwangen, many traveling in groups Motorcyclists on their speed and technical condition.

Since numerous complaints from residents of the surrounding villages had again been received, the noise limit value from the technical data of the motorcycle was compared with the value actually determined at the control point by means of the police noise level meter.

Of the 46 motorcycles in total, five were suspected of being noisy, although none of them exceeded the permissible limit value according to the measurement method. From a police point of view, it was also gratifying that no technical changes that contributed to excessive noise were found.

When measuring the speed on the L112 near Glottertal, five exceeding speeds were detected by car drivers in the 70 km / h range, four of which were so fast that they could expect a fine of EUR 100 and a driving ban of 1 month. In addition, a car driver was measured at 117 km / h at the Thurner in the 100 km / h area there. This driver will receive a fine of EUR 80.
