Global Health Unveils Catastrophe About Corona..and Sends Strong Warning

The World Health Organization (WHO) is disturbed that a large number of health workers have been infected with the emerging coronavirus “Covid 19” and has called for more international support to provide health workers with supplies and other tools needed to maintain their safety.

According to the American “VOA” radio, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanum Gripsos said that everyone has a role to play in ending the epidemic that has killed more than 100,000 people around the world, and among the main players in this horrific drama are warriors on the front lines. , Medical personnel and health care workers who treat patients and face death.

As they put their lives on the line to save others, Tedros says medical staff are not getting the support they need to keep them safe.

He added: “In some countries, there are reports that nearly 10% of health workers have been infected. This is an alarming indication, when health workers are in danger, we are all in danger.”

Tidros added that some health workers become infected outside of health facilities in their homes or communities. But the majority of those infected are in health facilities, where they are exposed to the deadly virus throughout the day.

He said that many of them contract Coronavirus because they are not adequately trained or lack sufficient experience in diagnosing Covid 19 and dealing with respiratory pathogens, adding that long hours of work on patient care and lack of comfort can weaken immunity.

However, evidence also shows that when health workers wear PPE in the correct way, infection can be prevented. This makes it even more important for health workers to have access to the masks, gloves, gowns and other personal protective equipment they need to do their work safely and effectively, Tedros said.

A new United Nations supply chain task force has been established to alleviate equipment shortages. Tidros said that the World Health Organization and the World Food Program will coordinate this effort.

He said that the supply chain may need to cover more than 30 percent of the world’s needs in the acute phase of the epidemic. He said that to meet this demand, more than 100 million clothes, medical masks, respirators, diagnostic devices and other basic equipment would have to be shipped every month to the most vulnerable areas.

He said that the storage and shipping costs are about 280 million dollars. He indicated that the cost of purchasing these supplies would be much greater.
