Adam Glapiński: We raised interest rates twice
At the beginning of November, the Monetary Policy Council decided that the reference rate would go up by as much as 0.75 percentage points, to 1.25 percent. It was the second hike in a row. It is possible, however, that more increases are waiting for Poles.
Adam Glapiski, president of the National Bank of Poland in an interview with “Gazeta Bankowa” he recalled that interest rates had already been raised twice. – If necessary, we will continue. Just as we were determined to save the Polish economy during the pandemic, we will not allow the increased persistence of inflation. Of course, while ensuring sustainable growth in the economy, he said.
