In 1995, the cat was picked up by an employee of one of the Merseyside hospitals. Ten years later, he died and the animal moved in with his sister. Flossie lived with her for fourteen years, until her new mistress also died. Subsequently, the original owner’s son took in the cat. In August of this year, he also came to the conclusion that he could no longer provide adequate care for the cat. The animal has already lost its hearing and vision. It was decided to put her in a cat shelter. Her employees were genuinely surprised to learn that Flossy was celebrating her 27th birthday. They turned to the representatives of the Guinness book and it turned out that the cat is indeed a record holder.

Flossy’s new owner is eco-volunteer Vicki Green. According to her, despite such a solid age, deafness and blindness, Flossy is inquisitive and very affectionate, loves to eat well and quickly got used to a new home.
