Daley Blind and Sávio are of great value in another victory for leader Girona

Girona has once again done excellent business in LaLiga. Coach Michel’s team fell behind early against Rayo Vallecano, but recovered in time. Daley Blind played an important role in Artem Dovbyk’s equalizer by capturing the ball and initiating the attack. The 1-2 was scored by former PSV player Sávio, who tapped in from close range. Thanks to the victory, leader Girona is five and seven points respectively ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona, who still have a game in hand. Rayo is in ninth place.
Particularities:

After a very smooth combination, Dovbyk had a huge chance to make it 1-2, but he ran into goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski. However, the North Macedonian had to watch as the rebound was easy for Sávio: 1-2.
