In the eleventh stage of the Giro d’Italia Arnaud Démare confirmed his dominance in the sprint and took the fourth victory in this pink race, a quiet day for the big names. 204 km stage with start and finish in Cesenatico, which follows in its entirety the route of the Gran Fondo Nove Colli. With the exception of the first and last 25 km, the other over 150 km of route do not have a single stretch of plain. The riders will face a continuous succession of climbs and descents at times with double-digit gradients, with a road surface in some cases worn. Five Gpm: the climb of Ciola (Gpm of the fourth category, 6 km at 6.4%), that of Barbotto (Gpm of the third category, 4.5 km at 8.4%), the ascent towards Perticara ( Gpm of third category, 8.1 km at 4.7%), that of Madonna di Pugliano (Gpm of third category, 9.1 km at 5.5%) and finally the ascent of Gorolo (Gpm of fourth category, 4 , 4 km at 6.3%). Numerous roundabouts in the last kilometers. At 1400 m from the finish the last bend to the left to arrive on the final straight.
