To prevent our country from getting off to a rough start and the appointment system from overheating, the organization wants to work with a ‘mobilisable test and injection army’ and new call-up methods.
For example, since this week a trial has been running in the Haaglanden region in which people receive an SMS call with a location and time slot. “This allows us to relieve the call center, freeing up more capacity for the test lines,” says Covid-19 program director Jaap Eikelboom. “We also expect this to increase turnout.”
The organization also hopes to achieve this by making free entry possible at more and more locations. After the GGDs have placed the 9 million expected booster shots in the second half of January, they will go into the neighborhoods to boost in more detail.
