GGD Groningen: ‘No new corona infections in Groningen’

No new persons with proven COVID-19 have been identified in the province of Groningen. This is evident from the published weekly update of GGD Groningen.

Since the start of the epidemic, COVID-19 has been diagnosed in 371 people in the province of Groningen, according to the GGD. This number is the same as last Wednesday’s update. Of these 371 people, 191 people are employed in healthcare.

The number of actual infections in our province exceeds 367 because up to 1 June 2020, not all residents could be tested with complaints.

The number of deaths from a proven corona infection has remained unchanged at 17, according to the GGD in the province of Groningen. This number has been the same since Saturday, May 16.

A total of 9,608 people were tested for the virus from 1 June to 14 July. Of these, eleven people (0.1%) were positive.

Following the RIVM, GGD Groningen no longer reports daily the increase in the number of COVID-19 patients tested positive and the number of deceased COVID-19 patients.
