According to the Internal Medicine Specialist at the Diponegoro National Hospital (RSND) Diponegoro University (Undip) dr. Dinda Saraswati R, the symptoms of TBC are special and not special.

Dinda explained, the typical symptom of TB is coughing up blood. While those that are not typical include coughing up phlegm, weight loss, and chills.

Dinda emphasized, for those who experience these symptoms, it never hurts to do something screening to a health facility to determine the condition of the type of cough.

“TBC is not due to genetics but due to close contact. It means that a close contact with one house for a long time can transmit it,” explained Dinda as quoted from the Undip page, Tuesday (29/3/2022).

TB germs are not resistant to sunlight

Dinda explained, this TB germ has proven to be intolerant to sunlight.

“When exposed to sunlight for half an hour, the germs in the air will die,” said Dinda.
