Germany: from Sunday the Netherlands will be a high-risk area | Inland

The quarantine period lasts ten days, but can be ended early from the fifth day with a corona test. The entry restrictions apply to all people who have been in a high-risk area in the ten days before their arrival.

Anyone planning to go on holiday in Germany soon must register again from Sunday at www.einreiseanmeldung.de.

Germany requires everyone from the age of 12, regardless of where they come from, to have a corona certificate if they enter the country or are in transit. This may be a vaccination or recovery certificate, but also a recent corona test.

Travelers without the correct documents can be fined. There are exceptions for people who go to Germany for work or education, for example.

In addition to the Netherlands, Germany has also added Belgium, Ireland and Greece to the list of high-risk areas. The Netherlands has already been placed on the list several times during the pandemic. The penultimate time was at the end of July. Then the entry restrictions were lifted within a month.
