Sunda Kelapa Mosque is the starting point for cadres’ departure Gerindra and PKB to register together as a participant Election 2024. Election Sunda Kelapa Mosque as a starting point, this becomes a sign that the political cooperation of the two parties is fully aimed at the benefit of the Indonesian people.
“We want the joint registration of the two parties to participate in the 2024 General Election to be a starting point for more constructive political cooperation in the future. So we want to start the departure from the Sunda Kelapa Mosque and then together go to the KPU Office,” said Deputy Secretary General of the PKB DPP. Syaiful Huda, in his written statement, Sunday (7/8/2022).
Huda explained that the selection of the Sunda Kelapa Mosque as the starting point for the departure of Gerindra and PKB cadres had many meanings. One of them is that the political cooperation between Gerindra and PKB began with good intentions as an effort to provide greater benefit to the people of Indonesia.

“The selection of the mosque as the starting point for departure is also the same spirit as the election time for registration at 10 Muharram which is also a good day and has great meaning for the starting point for the victory of the world’s great figures,” he said.
Huda said this was also inspired by the philosophy of the legendary mosque. As is well known, the Sunda Kelapa Mosque is in the shape of a boat which symbolizes that the port of Sunda Kelapa was once a famous place for trade as well as the fastest spread of Islam in its time.
“The starting point of the mosque is also to remind Gerindra and PKB cadres that political struggle is the implementation of noble religious values so that we humans always try to create greater opportunities for the benefit of the Indonesian people,” said Huda.
He said there would be around 1,000 cadres of the two parties who would join the procession from the Sunda Kelapa Mosque to the KPU office. This parade will be accompanied by a marching band that will perform songs of struggle.
Later, Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto and PKB General Chair Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) will join the parade before entering the KPU office.
“The registration of Gerindra and PKB as election participants will be led directly by Pak Bowo and Gus Muhaimin. This is also a sign of the increasingly serious political cooperation of the two parties,” he said.
Prabowo and Muhaimin Iskandar will then hold a joint press conference after completing a series of registrations at the KPU office. The two of them will also convey various strategic issues related to the cooperation between Gerindra and PKB in facing the 2024 General Election.
“Later on, Pak Bowo and Gus Muhaimin will deliver a joint press statement regarding political cooperation between the two parties in facing the 2024 election,” said Huda.
