United Georgia Party Leader, Ex-Speaker of Parliament Nino Burjanadze Joins Front Line Calls International Project

On the eve of the great Victory Day, Sputnik editorial offices in Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan publish family stories that are told by the descendants of soldiers and officers who fought on the Belarusian, Baltic, Caucasian, Southern and other fronts.
Nino Burjanadze shared the story of her entire family – the grandfathers of Viktor Burjanadze and Vasily Murchadze, a cousin and uncle of his mother, as well as relatives from her husband.
“This may be the smallest story of different branches of one family in a small Georgia, from which during the war, despite the small population, 700 thousand Georgians left and 300 thousand of them did not return. Therefore, I believe that Georgia should always honor its heroes , those people who gave their youth and life so that the foot of the fascist invaders did not step in Georgia, “Burjanadze said.
“Front roll call” is a traditional project of Sputnik press centers, which makes family stories the property of the great military annals, recalls the high price of Victory and the feat of the nations that liberated the world from fascism, giving us all the opportunity to live.
