Georges-Louis Bouchez reacts to an analysis by political scientist Carl Devos: “You would think it was bad will”

Carl Devos’ comments on a political deadlock from the MR made the Liberal President react.

Bringing the PS and the N-VA around the negotiating table for a possible coalition is not easy. If several have tried it, the results have so far been inconclusive. According to Carl Devos, professor of political and social sciences at the University of Ghent, the fault would not necessarily lie with one of the two coalitions concerned. So he claimed in a
interview at La Libre this Wednesday, February 5 that “the president of the MR systematically blocked attempts to bring the two parties together”. His reasons? How little profit the Liberals could make from such an alliance.

A statement that will not fail to react Georges-Louis Bouchez. “Anyone can be mistaken in an analysis, but at this point, one might think that this is bad will”, writes the Montois on Twitter. The Chairman of the MR then pointed out that Carl Devos was not himself at the negotiating table. “Who makes you think that this is not false information?” Concludes Bouchez.
