George Sobhi works on his paintings using the mosaic technique, which is one of the most famous artistic techniques used by artists, which consists of collecting different pieces and materials and designing them into distinctive paintings to form artistic paintings using materials such as beads and stones. However, his paintings are distinguished by applying this technique with coffee beans, which… It is distinctive, especially because it contributes to recycling these grains, and helps to use them in works of art with purposeful messages.

He pointed out that the artistic painting goes through several stages, the first of which is choosing the design and taking into account that it has a purpose, value, and a useful message, then choosing the materials used in the artwork, collecting expired coffee beans from coffee companies and manufacturing them, and then pasting them one by one. He added: “The coffee beans are added according to the color gradations, temperature, and roasting, and upon completion of the painting, the artwork is treated with special materials to protect it from deterioration and damage, then the final touches are put and a valuable and appropriate frame is made for it, and the work is recorded in an original certificate with the artist’s seal and signature, and thus The artwork is ready for collection.

The artist stressed that his presence in the UAE represented a starting point for him into the world and a unique opportunity, especially since it is an incubator for all talents. He pointed out that his cooperation with institutions and their interest in art exhibitions contributed greatly to the spread of this art. He also, during previous years, cooperated in displaying his paintings in Various exhibitions were organized by various institutions, including events and exhibitions at the Mohammed bin Rashid Library in Dubai, the Sharjah Arts Foundation, the Abu Dhabi Culture, Tourism and Arts Authority, and various national events such as Flag Day, Martyr’s Day and other occasions, in addition to presenting a group of artistic workshops for various groups.

He added: “I started publishing artistic works made with coffee beans since I came to the Emirates in 2015. The beginning was very difficult in implementing the works and being accepted by society, but with persistence, determination and continued work with great effort, the works gained the passion and admiration of many and then spread widely within the Emirates.” And after that in the Gulf countries.
