Inter Milan back to second place standings Italian League. The result was obtained after beating Genoa 3-0.
Genoa v Inter takes place at Luigi Ferraris on Sunday (7/26/2020) early morning hrs. The Nerazzurri finished the first half with a score of 1-0 through Romelu Lukaku’s goal.
The second half went very tough. Inter even had minimal opportunity, but could still add goals through Alexis Sanchez and Lukaku’s second goal.
This victory makes Inter take over second place from Atalanta. The Nerazzurri are in that position with 76 points, one ahead of Atalanta in third place.
Genoa stuck in 17th place or one level above the relegation zone with 36 points.
The course of the match
Genoa started the match well. Davide Nicola’s team played fast passes which put Inter under pressure. However, Il Grifone has not been able to create dangerous opportunities.
Genoa could only threaten the Inter defense in the eighth minute. Andrea Pinamonti struck Domenico Cristico’s cross with a header, but the striker’s effort was still wide on the left side of goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
