Baking soda is an indispensable aid in cooking and baking, but the variety of its uses around the home is much more diverse. Why pour it on the ground and what else is it for?
Sodium bicarbonate
You can drive away ants, spiders, fish and other small animals whose presence in the house is undesirable very easily. In every corner of the room, because that’s where the little creatures like it best, sprinkle with baking soda. Acts as a natural repellent. You’ll soon be in trouble because these unwanted guests can’t stand baking soda.
Universal cleaner
Baking soda kills harmful microorganisms, bacteria and fungi. If you mix baking soda with lemon juice in a 1: 1 ratio and add a little water, you get a paste that can clean almost anything in the kitchen. For instance. oven, microwave, stove, dirty cups, kitchen tiles and clogged drains.
It works just as well in the bathroom. It bleaches and disinfects, so it can do most of the work, as do the cleaning products available. It is best used for cleaning tiles, toilets, showers, bathtubs and sinks. Just mix the baking soda in a little water, apply the paste with a sponge on the critical areas and rub. Then leave it on and dry it with a damp cloth after a quarter of an hour.
Oral care
You can also easily incorporate baking soda into your morning and evening oral care routine. Because it has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, it freshens the breath. If you want to make a mouthwash, mix half a teaspoon of baking soda with half a glass of warm water. Then use as a classic mouthwash. It also works well as a teeth whitener.
In addition to all of the above, baking soda revives tarnished silver, helps get rid of weeds, clean carpets, and eliminate unpleasant odors. It pays to have baking soda at home and learn how to use it.
