Gazprom reports record gas production and record financial results for 2021. This was announced by the executive director of the company Alexei Miller, quoted by BNR.
Miller reported that in 2021, the company produced the record for the last 13 years over 514 billion cubic meters of gas.
Exports also increased compared to last year to 185 billion.
A total of 15 countries have purchased additional quantities of Russian pipeline gas, with the largest increases in Turkey, Italy and Germany.
Supplies to China through the Power of Siberia gas pipeline have also increased, Alexei Miller added. He stressed that the Nord Stream and Turkish Stream offshore gas pipelines play an important role in the reliable supply of natural gas, and Nord Stream 2 has been fully operational since December 29.
The facility with an annual capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas is in the process of certification. The Russian side expects the procedure to be completed by the middle of the year.
“For 2021 we expect the maximum financial result for the entire history of Gazprom. This means that the dividends will also be absolutely record-breaking, both for Gazprom and for all Russian public companies, Miller said.
