The gas price is through the roof. On the Dutch futures market, which leads European gas prices, costs a megawatt hour of gas now more than 142 euros. That is no less than 60 percent more than yesterday.
The gas price is reaching the level we were at between 20 and 23 December. The highest level of the gas price was on December 21. Back then, a megawatt hour even cost 166 euros.

Wall Street
The broad American S&P 500 index and the Dow Jones index, which is composed by only 20 funds, start more than 2 percent in the negative. The Nasdaq, which contains many technology funds, even starts 2.5 percent in the red.
Wall Street thus continues yesterday’s loss and today’s share price declines in Europe.
The S&P 500 is now about 14 percent lower than at the beginning of the year. The Nasdaq even lost just under 17 percent and compared to the peak of mid-November, the loss is even larger.

Our own AEX-index is more than 3 percent lower. All 25 AEX funds are in the red, with one exception, Shell is in the plus by 2.5 percent.
