Employees of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk was offered early retirement by management. The offer was submitted on May 19, 2021, according to the statement of the President of the Garuda Pilots Association (APG) Muzaeni.
“(The offer for early retirement is announced) on May 19 at noon, at 14.00,” he told detikcom, Friday (21/5/2021).
The early retirement offer is addressed to all employees, not just pilots.
“(The offer for early retirement) is not to the pilot (alone) but to all employees,” he added.
His party from the association is not in a position to agree or reject the restructuring plan Garuda Indonesia. But his party emphasized that management should not make unilateral termination of employment (PHK).
“Please restructure because the situation and conditions are like this. But our request must not be one-sided dismissal, because if there is a one-sided layoff it violates the rules. That’s because we are from the association or from the union. statement yes, that’s what management took to retire early, “he explained.
On offer Garuda Indonesia, Muzaeni said that some employees seem to accept early retirement. But for the most part still restless.
“What a lot of people are confused, confused, or maybe the language is anxious, what about actually, that is what we are currently consolidating with other colleagues,” he added.
