Garuda Indonesia and its subsidiary, Citilink, are preparing 1.2 million flight seats for domestic and international routes for the 2023 Eid homecoming and return flow on April 15 to April 30. Garuda Indonesia will provide 518,856 seats by operating a number of wide-body aircraft, while Citilink will prepare 722,080 seats and operate its Airbus A320-200 fleet. Garuda Indonesia’s flight capacity will be optimized on a number of routes that have high demand, including Jakarta – Padang, Jakarta – Semarang, Jakarta – Solo, Jakarta – Yogyakarta, and Jakarta – Denpasar. This step is also aligned with the increase in the frequency of international flights to Singapore, Amsterdam, Seoul, and Bangkok. The availability of Garuda Indonesia Group flight seats during this year’s Eid period recorded a 45 percent increase compared to the peak season in 2022. Garuda Indonesia as a state-owned airline together with its subsidiary Citilink ensures that people’s accessibility to air transportation services can run optimally. Garuda Indonesia Group would also periodically monitor and anticipate the need for extra flights which will later be prepared according to people’s movements ahead of the holiday.
