Presented on Thursday, June 9, 2022 in the Auditorium of the Departmental Archives of Gardthese posters on the theme of media and information literacy were carried out by college students, supervised by the journalist Agathe Beaudouin within the framework of the device Artists in college carried by the Departmental Council.
Five participating colleges
The journalist Agathe Beaudouin intervened in 5 Gard colleges in connection with the teachers: La Galaberte in Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort in 4eD with Nathalie Fischer and Claire Lavit-Bérard; The Castellas in Bessèges in 6e1 et 5e1 with Chloé Mouraille; Saint-Jean-Baptiste-de-la-Salle in Nîmes in 4eC with Muriel Pinaroli; Emmanuel-d’Alzon in Nîmes and Grau-du-Roi, respectively in 3eD with Leslie Pierre and in 6e with Celine Cardenas.
Called to reflect
Through workshops calling on active pedagogy and collective work, the students discovered behind the scenes of an editorial office, the work of a journalist, deciphered the clues that hide false information, reflected on the right behaviors to adopt and wondered about the use of mobile phones and screens.
Develop critical thinking
All courses ended with an oral presentation of the work to the managers of the establishment. Each of these activities, in which young people have become the protagonists, aimed to develop their curiosity and critical thinking about the world in which they live.
