Gangavilas trapped in Bihar – Janayugom Online

MV Ganga Vilas luxury ship stranded in Chapra, Bihar. The boat was trying to land to take tourists to the ancient center of Chiranth Saran near Chapra when it got stuck. The ship stopped on the third day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the maiden voyage that started from Varanasi to Dibrugarh in Assam.

It is suggested that the reason for this is the low water level of Ganga in Goraganj region. The disaster management team came and took the passengers from the ship to the boats and brought them to shore. Meanwhile, the Central Inland Water Transport Authority (IWAI) denied the news that the ship was stuck. IWAI also informed that the sailing will remain unchanged.
