Game fans barely get a hold of Sony’s popular PlayStation 5 | Financial

The new PlayStation 5 (PS5) from Sony has been in high demand since the Japanese manufacturer introduced the game console in November last year.

The chain was unable to cope with the enormous demand after the new offer in recent days. Sony is referring to the worldwide lack of chips for its console with which the games are played.

This scarcity is broader: Toyota reports on Saturday that it will postpone its production of cars in the Czech Republic for two weeks, because crucial microchips are not available due to the failure of production due to the corona virus.

Many consumers who had placed an order with Mediamarkt for the PS5 for the basic model or those with additional accessories, received a refund with the promise that their payment already made will be refunded within three days.

Delayed to July

To the lucky ones who do receive the PS5, the PlayStation will be delivered no later than April 4, according to announcements from Mediamarkt.

Anyone who ordered it and did not receive the console can add it to a ‘pre-order list’ at Mediamarkt for the next delivery. “Then you can expect to receive the PS5 in July,” the group said on Saturday
