In the last hours, a strong gale caused havoc in at least 10 homes in the municipality of Yumbo (Valle del Cauca).
According to relief agencies eight large trees collapsed during the emergency, two of them fell on the main roads of the municipality, blocking the passage of vehicular flow.

According to the Risk Management office, so far no injured or deceased person has been reported.
“There is damage in the La Estancia, La Nueva Estancia, San Jorge and Vía Panorama neighborhoods”, indicated the coordinator of the entity, Miguel Perdomo.
The municipality’s utility company is working to remove the power grids that were also affected and with special machinery in conjunction with firefighters they are working to unblock the roads.
