Just a week after previous “plum” FCA has published a new batch of teasers for the upcoming flagship Jeep Grand Wagoneer SUV. For the first time the car is shown in full, but … so far only in the top view. From the image, the Grand Wagoneer will have a huge glass roof section that extends all the way to the third row of seats, as well as a head-up display. And the second image shows a fragment of the front panel with a ventilation duct, and on its end one can see the traditional Easter egg for modern Jeeps – a stylized profile of the car itself.
According to preliminary information, the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer with a length of about five meters was created on the basis of a Ram 1500 frame pickup truck. It will cost 120-140 thousand dollars and will compete with cars Cadillac Escalade, Range Rover, Lexus LX 570, Infiniti QX80, Lincoln Navigator and Mercedes -Benz GLS. The company itself refers to the future car as “premium American icon”. Rich equipment and powerful V8 engines are promised, in the cabin – virtual instruments and a 12-inch screen of the media system.
The official premiere of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer model is scheduled for September 3, but the American media have already found out that on this day only a concept will be presented, albeit as close as possible to the production car. The start of production will take place approximately in the second quarter of 2021: SUVs will be produced at the same plant in Warren, Michigan, where the Rams are made.
