Funny items NBA players brought to Orlando

Remember that old icebreaker question: What are the three things you would pack if you went to a desert island? We have all thought about it, but none of us really think that we will have to make that decision.

Well, NBA players aren’t on a desert island, not even close, but they had to make some tough decisions when it came to packing for the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida. Take a look at some of their bags and see some of the most exclusive items they chose to pack.

What pair of shoes could you not leave?

I will definitely bring the Jordan 1 x Union Black Toe.

What is the essential snack, sweets, etc. what could you not leave?

Oh, sure I have my Level protein bars. They are the best protein bars on the market. And I have some exclusive flavor that has not been released.

Any gadget, toy, etc.? What game system do you bring?

I have to have all my streaming settings. I packed my Origin PC, a monitor, my microphone, camera, multiple Scuf drivers, and an Astro headset.

What is the essential snack, sweets, etc. what could you not leave?

I didn’t bring food, but what I did bring was a lot of condiments, lots of hot sauce, some peanut sauces, some barbecue sauces. I wasn’t exactly sure what we were getting into when it came to food, so you probably have eight different condiments and sauces here.

I see this custom game kit, what’s the story behind that?
The case itself is quite popular. It’s called Gaems. The decal itself is a company called Game Decal and I sent it and worked with them to get a small custom package. They did a great job about it. I have had it for two years, it is very durable. The decal is from me and I remember the game I was playing, we were playing with the Atlanta Hawks and I remember that dunk.

I brought the Star Wars Legos, it’s a hobby of mine, it’s something I’ve done since I was a child, but that’s how I spend my free time. I like to put things together. I like to challenge myself. Puzzles aren’t for everyone, and Legos seem fun and easy, but it’s the kind of thing you need to be very patient about. It is a good way to kill time and make time go by even more.

I see that on your suitcase you have more games.
There are two puzzles and then I brought a mat for the puzzles. When you’re done with it or need to go somewhere, you can roll it up so that none of the pieces fall off.

I see a recovery pump. What is that?
That is huge for me. I think it is one thing that is greatly underrated. As athletes we know that, but I’m not sure people know that. We have a training camp for two to three weeks to come and we don’t have access to our facilities like we did in Indiana, so after practice this is a mini way to get rid of lactic acid and a way to relax a bit. It will be something that will be used a lot, especially after games and after practice. I can do it in my room instead of having to go somewhere.

What are the first three things you put in your suitcase?

Draws (underwear), sweatshirts, socks. Pack these three things first on each trip. It just makes the rest easier. As long as I don’t forget them, I can replace anything else.

Did you bring a good luck charm?
Wooden cross necklace – Orthodox.

What game system did you bring?
PlayStation, for sure. I usually play UFC, FIFA and Mafia. Actually, I just got to Orlando and am trying to set it up now. Of course, it doesn’t work, but I have plenty of time to figure it out.

What was something you hesitated to pack at the last minute?

Two things: First, my wife packed this UV LED light to disinfect me. Second, all my devices for recovery.

What pair of shoes could you not leave behind?
I have to keep it generic because I’m size 22. My shoes and slides are essential. I’ll be spending a lot of time in my hotel room, so having slides is key.

Did you bring a good luck charm?
I brought the Koran and a good luck charm that my mother gave me. It means a lot.

Are there any decorations, framed photos, or other items you’ve brought to make your Orlando hotel room feel more like home?
As long as I have my PS4, I feel like I’m at home.
