Barcelona, Feb 1 (EFE) .- The Movement of Christian Leisure Centers of the Pere Tarrés Foundation has claimed this Monday the role of these centers, which they consider a “safe and necessary” environment, and has urged public administrations to recognize the value of social leisure.
In a statement, the president of the movement, Xavier Nus, has advanced that the Pere Tarrés Foundation will resume the meetings with the Generalitat to draw up the summer activities and protocols of the educational groups and clubs.
In this sense, Nus has highlighted: “The centers and leisure in general have always been safe spaces that have been pioneers when it comes to applying the necessary protocols to avoid infections”.
Likewise, the president has asked the entities not to lose “motivation and strength” and to keep in touch with the children and families that participate in the leisure centers until they can fully resume their activity.
These statements, made during the Ordinary General Assembly of the Movement of Christian Leisure Centers, have been supported by more than 130 social leisure centers and clubs that have participated in the event.
The movement’s leisure centers host some 25,000 children, adolescents and young people, and 4,500 monitors participate in the voluntary educational task. EFE
