Fun Toy Store Chain Declares Bankruptcy: Uncertainty for Employees and Stores

It is still unclear how many employees can stay. The curators will hold information sessions for staff members next Monday and Tuesday. It is also not yet clear which stores will be taken over by the three acquirers.

Earlier in the day, Fun was declared bankrupt. The shops were open until Thursday. A sale had been taking place for several weeks, with the intention of continuing to pay the wages of the staff.

The chain employed more than 200 people. The wages of all employees will be paid until Monday.

The toy store chain has been owned by Sogesma, the Walloon group above the Trafic store chain, since 2018.
