Nearly 99% of New York City residents who died of Covid-19-related complications between January 1 and June 15 – 8,069 out of 8,163 – and 98.4% of those who were hospitalized with the virus – 36,628 out of 37,211 – were not fully vaccinated, the health department said in a news release.
