The e-petrol.pl portal in its statement on Friday pointed out that after the picnic, gasoline and diesel prices increased by PLN 16-21 per liter. According to analysts, this is not the end of the increases, which, to a greater extent, will also cover the very popular autogas in the coming days.
“Certainly, the announced increases will cover the whole country. In the coming days, the most popular 95 lead-free petrol should be refueled on average at the prices of PLN 6.67-6.82 per liter.while owners of diesel cars will pay 7.43-7.58 PLN per liter for diesel. Autogas will apparently increase in price next week – on average, you will pay PLN 3.79-3.90 per liter of LPG“- analysts of the e-petrol.pl portal forecast.

LPG will exceed PLN 4?
They emphasize that in the case of LPG, it is probably the last moment to refuel at this price. “The past week has brought sharp increases in wholesale prices of this fuel and clear changes in the price lists of LPG supplies to stations. This means that in the coming days and weeks, drivers of gas-powered cars will be refueling for an additional few or even a dozen or so cents more expensive than at present. , that the price will relentlessly reach the limit of PLN 4 per liter“- stated in the comment.

According to analysts, what could save drivers from this “black” scenario would be resignation from a very high margin, amounting to 60-70 groszy in recent days by autogas sellers at stations.
The portal pointed out that wholesale gasoline prices rose again in the coming week. “Today, the average price of 95 lead-free petrol by Polish producers (in PKN Orlen and in the Lotos Group) is 6 thousand. 351 PLN net of 20 groszy per 1000 liters – that is 90 PLN 40 groszy than last Friday. Diesel oil became cheaper mainly towards the end of this year. of the week and today its average price is PLN 6,856 PLN 40 net per 1000 liters. Currently, in wholesale this fuel is PLN 102 80 PLN cheaper than last Friday “- analysts calculated.
They added that gasoline and diesel are starting to share a shorter price distance. On Friday, May 6, the difference in wholesale prices of these fuels was PLN 505, while a week ago it was about PLN 700 – it was noted.
The forecasts of e-petrol.pl show that on Saturday, PKN Orlen and Grupa Lotos will change their wholesale price lists; increases are expected for gasolines, and for diesel there is a chance for a further downward correction.
According to analysts, the situation on the oil and fuel market is, however, very dynamic, and therefore difficult to forecast. As they indicated, in recent weeks, under the influence of world events, we have often witnessed price changes in refineries by several dozen or even several hundred zlotys from day to day.
“The first days of May on the crude oil market bring an increase in crude oil prices. A barrel of Brent crude oil on the London Stock Exchange, which at the beginning of the week could still be bought for less than $ 105, costs more than $ 112 on Friday morning.” Analysts said.
Sanctions do their job
In their opinion the next package of sanctions targeting the Russian economy presented by EU officials is the driving force behind the increases in recent dayswhich is to introduce a ban on the import of crude oil and petroleum products. The restrictions on the raw material are to come into force after 6 months, and the fuel embargo is to enter into force next year.
“First, however, the proposal of EU officials has to be approved by the member states. The proposed temporary exemptions from the bans for Slovakia and Hungary were to help in reaching a political compromise, but even this does not guarantee unanimitybecause according to the Bloomberg agency, the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is against the embargo “- reminded e-petrol.pl.
It added that this week’s support for expensive oil was also the conservative policy of OPEC +, because the producers’ agreement did not decide to accelerate their plans to increase production and retained the current pace of easing production limits.
