Fuel prices continue to rise in Riga, but do not change in Tallinn

Last week, fuel prices in Riga continued to rise, while in Vilnius the rise in prices for diesel fuel stopped, but in Tallinn, fuel prices did not change for the second week, according to data compiled by the agency LETA.

Over the working weekend, the most expensive petrol was still available in Tallinn, followed by Riga, but the cheapest petrol was in Vilnius. The highest price for diesel fuel this week was in Riga, but the lowest was in Vilnius.

In Riga, at the Circle K petrol station at Krasta Street, the price of 95-mark petrol increased by 1.3% to 1.534 euros per liter. In turn, the price of diesel fuel increased by 5.7% – to 1.494 euros per liter, reaching the historically highest level at the respective gas station. The data compiled by the agency LETA show that the highest ever price of diesel fuel at the “Circle K” filling station on Krasta Street was on March 16 and 30, 2012 – 1.421 euros or 0.999 lats per liter at that time.

In Vilnius, the price of 95-mark petrol increased by 0.7% to 1.456 euros per liter, but the price of diesel did not change and on Friday cost 1.356 euros per liter.

At the same time, fuel prices in Tallinn remained stable. At Circle K petrol stations, the price of 95th grade petrol, as a week ago, was 1,584 euros per liter, but the price of diesel fuel was 1,374 euros per liter.

Autogas prices increased in all Baltic capitals. In Vilnius, it grew faster – by 2.6%, reaching 0.789 euros, but in Riga and Vilnius the price of autogas increased by 1.3% and cost 0.775 euros and 0.77 euros per liter, respectively.
