The timetable for the Breisgau S-Bahn, which has been shortened due to the Corona crisis, will be changed starting tomorrow. Deutsche Bahn wants to offer additional connections, especially in the daytime areas.
Since 30. March there is an emergency concept for local transport due to the corona pandemic. A shortened timetable was created for the Breisgau S-Bahn by April 19. He met with a lot of criticism, especially because there are few train connections early in the morning. Commuters who work at Freiburg University Hospital were affected. Now Deutsche Bahn has created a changed timetable, which should apply from Wednesday, April 15th, probably until June 13th. The train said that it was closely coordinated with the country’s public transport company.
The changed timetable also provides that instead of some buses that have been in operation since March 30, trains are now running. For example, a train runs from Breisach at 5:08 a.m. on weekdays to Freiburg instead of the previous bus. In addition, a train runs from 6.15 a.m. At 11.17 p.m. a train runs from Freiburg to Breisach. Trains from Neustadt to Freiburg at 4.52 a.m., 4.59 a.m. and 5.29 a.m., all of which stop at the university clinic. At 1:40 p.m., an additional train now runs from Freiburg to Titisee. At 5 a.m. and 6:03 a.m., buses start at the university hospital and go via the main train station to Neustadt.
