From Texas, buses with migrants arrive in New York

Although charities provided them with food and drink during the trip, most “come hungry and thirsty”, even sick, and one of them had to be rushed to a hospital, the sources said.

For his part, the mayor of New York, Eric Adams, assured that five thousand asylum seekers and migrants have been housed since May, “and we will continue to do so”, but added that they have “talked with the White House to discuss the issue and make it clear that we need help to get through this moment.”
