International. This Friday, the Texas government sent two new buses from migrants a New Yorkwhich is added to the first three that arrived last Wednesday, given the policy of sharing the burden of immigration.
It was reported that this morning the two buses arrived at the Central Terminal with 89 migrants on board, being greeted by an emergency reception facility with various charities to direct new arrivals to public shelters.
It was also detailed that among the nationalities of the arrivals are Venezuela, Peru and Mexico in their majority; made up of families with minors, as well as men and women.
Although charities provided them with food and drink during the trip, most “come hungry and thirsty”, even sick, and one of them had to be rushed to a hospital, the sources said.
For his part, the mayor of New York, Eric Adams, assured that five thousand asylum seekers and migrants have been housed since May, “and we will continue to do so”, but added that they have “talked with the White House to discuss the issue and make it clear that we need help to get through this moment.”
