Tom Nilsson has previously expressed his desire to stay in Frölunda. Now it is clear that the defender will remain, the club announces this via its website.
Frölunda HC has extended the contract with Tom Nilsson, the club announces this on its website. The defender has previously expressed that he wanted to remain at the club, and so it will be.
The contract extends over two seasons and runs until spring 2026.
– It feels great. I enjoy Gothenburg and Frölunda and this is what I wanted. Of course it is a security to know that I will stay for two more seasons, says Nilsson in one press release.
“Team loyal and very talented”
Frölunda’s sporting director Fredrik Sjöström is satisfied with having got the extension in place.
– We are happy to have found a solution, it was a mutual interest. Tom is team loyal and a very good hockey player, says Sjöström in the press release.
Tom Nilsson has been to Frölunda before. During the last stay, he won both the CHL title and SM gold with the club. This season, the defensive back has scored four points in 33 games.
