This Friday evening, the Professional Football League announced an agreement with bein Sports for the international rights of Ligue 1. In parallel with this announcement, the LFP confirmed that French clubs could organize friendly matches in July. The new season will start well next August. News that should delight Jean-Michel Aulas, a supporter of the organization of a tournament to prepare for the resumption of the Champions League in early August and the finals of the two national cups.
“The LFP Bureau recalled that the 2020/2021 season will be able to restart as agreed next August with friendly preparation matches in July. The LFP is now focusing on a resumption of the season allowing the reception of all or part of the public under the sanitary conditions which will be defined with the public authorities ”, details in particular the League press release.
