Friendly, along the Mahakam River

Going to Samarinda will NOT be complete if you have never known what it’s like to walk along the Mahakam River. The group from the NTB Health Service and PPI NTB were invited to go on a tour around the Mahakam River which was directly escorted by the Head of the East Kalimantan Health Service, Dr. Jaya Mualimin.

Of course, this was a sight that amazed them, especially as the tourist boats they were on often passed by barges carrying coal back and forth. “Wow, this is what East Kalimantan says is the place for black gold and coal,” said the Head of the NTB Service, Dr Lalu Hamzi Fikri.

“What is certain is that this visit was very memorable, we are very grateful because we have been treated like a family here,” continued Sri Yuliati. There was a family atmosphere, apart from singing, joking and giving each other mementos. (lin/beb)
