Friday, July 29, 2022, trip by Caroline CAYEUX, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior and Overseas, in charge of Local Authorities, to the commemorative ceremony of the 40th anniversary of the tragedy in Beaune (Côte d’Or).
Caroline Cayeux, Minister Delegate for Local Authorities, will preside on Sunday July 31, 2022 at the commemorative ceremony for the 40th anniversary of the Beaune tragedy.
On July 31, 1982, 53 people including 46 children, the vast majority from Crépy-en-Valois (Oise), lost their lives after an accident on the A6 motorway near Beaune. 40 years after what is still considered the worst road tragedy in France, the Minister Delegate will pay tribute to the victims and reiterate the full mobilization of the Government to strengthen road safety prevention.
