French presidential candidate Eric Zemmour called for the lifting of EU sanctions on Russia. He believes that Paris should strengthen “friendly ties” with Moscow.

In his opinion, as soon as there is some kind of rapprochement between Russia and Europe, the United States tries to separate them.
“Russia is pursuing its own policy, which, of course, is aimed at spreading its influence. I think that France could send friendly signals towards Russia, for example, by lifting sanctions. If I were president, I would say that there will be no more sanctions against Russia,” the presidential candidate said.
