BThe surprising move to Freiburg for the coming season was apparently initiated by national soccer player Matthias Ginter. He had the idea, SC trainer Christian Streich told Sky TV before the game against Union Berlin on Saturday. “We spoke to each other. This is only possible this way. A player of this quality, with this history, has to want something like that for himself. He really wanted to. And then we really wanted to, of course,” says Streich.
Ginter is surprisingly returning to his training club Freiburg for the coming season. Previously, the defender had also been linked with several top-flight clubs.
