Freiburg: Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau donated 5,000 euros to “Region der Lebensretter e.V.” – A vital project can continue with a donation

The network “Region der Lebensretter e.V.” was established in Freiburg and the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in mid-2018.It alerts first-aiders via a smartphone app (FirstAED) in the event of medical emergencies with a cardiovascular arrest and sends them to the emergency location.
On average, there are three alarms per day.

Since March 2020, they have had to pause due to the Corona crisis, as the necessary protective equipment was not available for the approximately 800 volunteers. A set for a helper (resuscitator, filter, FFP-2 mask, safety glasses and gown) costs 12 euros.

On Friday, the Sparkasse made a spontaneous donation of over 5,000 euros to ensure that this vital project can continue.
