The Endwalker expansion for Final Fantasy XIV went into early access on Friday. Since then, players have been plagued by long queues and error messages during their frantic login attempts.
Every MMO player knows that things can go wrong around the release of an expansion… However, Final Fantasy XIV players have never experienced it as bad as with this early access release of the Endwalker expansion!
Naoki Yoshida, the producer of Final Fantasy XIV, late in this blog post know that players will get a week of free playtime as compensation for the ongoing problems. Whether additional time is added in the future depends on how the server overload problems develop.
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 starting December 7.
