CHICAGO, Illinois.- The state government set up an internet site to locate the free food distribution point closest to your home.
–
The page go.illinois.edu/FindFoodIL offers an interactive map, where those interested simply enter their zip code to find the places where they will receive free pantries.
–
The site designers suggest that after locating the nearest food assistance site, call that location to be sure of hours of operation.
–
Remember that in many of these places food distribution is done without you getting out of your vehicle. Be sure to ask for the details about how pantry delivery is on the site of your choice.
