The long-standing Hohenrain municipal and cantonal council will take part in its last parliamentary session on Monday. The reason for his resignation is his new job with the neighboring community.

Politics is in Fredy Winiger’s blood: he politicized in the Hohenrain municipal council for almost 15 years, and sat for the SVP in the cantonal council for ten years. Since 2014, Winiger has also been President of the regional development agency idea Seetal. In the Association of Lucerne Municipalities (VLG), he has been head of the Construction, Environment and Economy (BUWD) division for two years.
