This weekend was originally supposed to be a ministerial meeting in OPEC+. Last week, the meeting was postponed, probably due to internal disagreement about future cuts, which sent the oil price down 4 percent.

Now the oil cartel will meet online on Thursday instead.

– OPEC+ must show significant discipline in terms of supply, or at least signal such an ability, to alleviate the market’s concerns about a large surplus in the oil market next year, says analyst Vivek Dhar at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Equinor falls 1.14 per cent, while Aker BP weakened by 1.03 per cent. Our Energy is down 1.82 percent.

Several oil service shares also weakened. Aker Solutions is down 3.13 per cent, while PGS and TGS weakened by 1.51 per cent and 1.09 per cent respectively. Subsea 7 falls 1.17 percent.
