The euphoria ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Europa League final against Glasgow Rangers on May 18 can be felt everywhere.
UEFA announced in Vienna on Tuesday that Frankfurt can look forward to five European Championship games in 2024 – including a group game for the German national team.
Now the city of Frankfurt would like to seize the opportunity to possibly bring another European highlight to the Main metropolis.

The Europa League finals in 2023 (Budapest), 2024 (Dublin) and 2025 (Bilbao) have already been booked. Therefore, the Hessians have the plan to grab the next possible final. So that would be in 2026.
The head of the sports department of the city of Frankfurt, Mike Josef (39, SPD), told the picture as follows: “Europa League and Eintracht, that’s pure emotion. Our fans, the club and our city now deserve a final in to experience the Europa League in your own stadium. There can’t be any better advertising than that of our fans and the team in recent weeks.”

Josef will be traveling to Seville with the Eagle Bearers next week and will be making initial contact with the UEFA officials there.
The former SSV Ulm footballer has already impressively demonstrated how such a major event can be brought to Frankfurt.
Joseph traded with the bosses of the NFL that two regular season games of the world’s largest American football league will be held at Deutsche Bank Park by 2025.
