In Pau, the favorable trend for François Bayrou emerged from the first stripped offices.
In the first 18 offices out of 55, the outgoing mayor came comfortably in the lead with 56.91% of the votes ahead of Jérôme Marbot, 43.09%.
The leader of Pau in common, the left list gathered with environmentalists and the candidate supported by France Insoumise, made up a small part of its delay in the evening.
He still finished ten points from the outgoing when reading the final results: 55.52% for François Bayrou, 44.48% for Jérôme Marbot. In total, these are 9,371 votes for the outgoing, 7,535 for his opponent, or 1,836 votes apart.
The participation amounts to 38.28%.
The opposition candidate admitted defeat soon after 9 p.m.
