Franco-American director Tonie Marshall dies

The only woman to have won the César Award for Best Director for “Venus Beauty (Institute)” in 2000, the French-American director Tonie Marshall died on Thursday at the age of 68, her agent Elisabeth Tanner announced.

Tonie Marshall died “this morning from a long illness,” said Elisabeth Tanner.
